Fabienne Imoberdorf
Musician

Fabienne Imoberdorf was born and raised in Visp. She received her first violin lessons at the Allgemeine Musikschule Oberwallis with Cornel Borse and in Sion with Tibor Varga. Motivated by various first prizes at music competitions at home and abroad, Fabienne decided to study music (foundation studies in instrumental pedagogy and eurhythmics in Lausanne, concert class in Bern).
After several years in established orchestras, Fabienne undertook a second training in nursing, but soon returned to music. She is currently completing a Master of Advanced Studies in Music Pedagogy, has been a member of the chamber orchestra concertino for 15 years, has been performing several concerts a year with her Oberwallis String Quartet for over a decade, teaches at the Allgemeine Musikschule Oberwallis, serves as president of the Kleine Kulturreihe Oberwallis, as well as in cultural events with and for children, plays in several project orchestras, and has been touring with the Valais theatre ensemble PLAYADES for two years.
