Eva Mann

Eva is an errant thespian. She trained as a Theatre Director at East 15 Acting School (London) and GITIS (Moscow) after gaining an MA in Literature and Philosophy from the University of Tübingen. She works as a freelance director, actress and teacher.

Eva has a passion for classics, Yiddish theatre, devising and adaptations - for theatre that transcends national and linguistic borders. Directing credits include Got, Mentsh un Tayvl (New Yiddish Rep, NYC), Romeo and Juliet (Anton-Chekhov-Theatre, Taganrog, Russia), Resurrection Blues, The Difficult Man (both Cellar Theatre Basel), Relatively Speaking (Töpferei Zürich), The Path Not Taken (naTo Leipzig), Blithe Spirit (Weinlandbühne Andelfingen) and Don Camillo & Peppone (Theater Buochs).

During her studies, Eva was East 15's delegate to the Royal Shakespeare Company's Young Directors Workshop and co-directed a scene from Othello for the Globe's Sam Wanamaker Festival. Eva has equally received scholarships for the Russian Theatre Union's Summer School in Zvenigorod and Lincoln Centre Theatre's Directors Lab in NYC.
